Last night, Governor Reynolds announced that she was recommending that Iowa school districts close for four weeks to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This recommendation comes from guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health and based on CDC guidelines.

The Colo-NESCO Community School District will follow the advice and cancel all programs, activities, practices and classes effective immediately.  This includes any organized practices/games by outside organizations who access our buildings and grounds. Classes will resume on Monday, April 13th.

Today, March 16, Governor Reynolds is scheduled to hold a press conference at 4:30 pm that will more clearly outline school closure expectations, such as expected dates of closure and re-opening.  Colo-NESCO will provide you updates as they become available to us regarding school closure and other pertinent information to help you plan for the upcoming weeks.  Every hour brings new developments as health organizations look at more ways to curb this virus.
