Instructions for online registration for returning students is below.  Online registration will open on Wednesday, July 17th and close on August 12th.  It is recommended using a desktop computer to complete the online registration.  If you do not have access to a computer, one will be available Mondays and Tuesdays from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Staring July 22nd  at: Colo – NESCO Community School District’s Office – 919 West Street in Colo. If you would like to register in person you may register on Monday, August 5th from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm in Zearing. Computers will be available during this night to register online.  New students to the Colo-NESCO School community are encouraged to attend our registration night so that you can be added into our JMC program which will then allow you to register online. We will have laptops ready for families to use to register your student/s. 

  1. Make sure you go through our website @ www.colonesco.org to access your parent portal. 
  2. Click on the JMC tab on the top, right corner of the page. 
  3. Click on the parent portal.
  4. Please make sure you are in the 19-20 school year (by using the drop down arrow beside the year) enter your Username (last name used is that of the parent NOT the child) and your parent password, then click on the blue login tab.   If you don’t know your password, please see school staff. To begin, click on the Register for School tab on the left hand side, click on start/continue registration process tab. 
  5. Continue through the registration process by clicking next.  On each field please make the necessary changes needed to the: parent contact, student demographics and custom fields.  Please make sure to scroll down on the custom fields screen and answer all questions. Please note: If you want school alerts your phone number has to be up to date on JMC. Most custom fields will need to be answered with a Y  or a N. Any areas in gray are automatically populated. IF you have more than one student you will fill each student’s information out on this page as you continue to click next. 
  6. Information submitted will be updated automatically upon hitting the finished button.  All changes will need to be approved by office personnel before they take effect.  Submissions will be accepted by office personnel beginning August 13th, 2019.
  7. Next step:  Online Signatures –   click on the “sign form” button on the left  side. Not all grades will have forms to view/sign in this area.  If there are no forms to view in this area, please disregard. Click once on the form name  that’s in blue ink. The form name will drop to the bottom of the screen. Click on the form name again to read that form. After reading, exit the form by clicking on the tab with that file name on it- click the X. Now click on the blue “add signature” words for the pertaining form you just read. You may have to scroll down to see the signature box/line.   Add your signature by using your pointer finger on the “mousepad”. You need to continue to hold down on the mousepad to continue to write. Click “save” to add in your signature. When all signatures are added, proceed. 
  8. Once you have completed this process,  LOGOUT of the JMC parent online registration portal  and go back to WWW.colonesco.org homepage.  
  9. To pay your student fees or put money in your child’s lunch account, go to the Colo-NESCO website, hover over the district tab and scroll down to Business Office, click on payschoolscentral.com . To pay using Payschools Central you will need to register your family’s information and set up an account.  Otherwise, you can stop by registration night and see office staff to pay by cash or check on August 5th, 2019, in the Zearing building from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  
  1. IF you need a HEALTH form please follow these instructions: on the Colo-NESCO homepage, hover over district tab. Scroll down and click on Nurse and Wellness,  click on health forms. Forms are separated by the child’s grade. These forms will need to be printed out and completed. These forms can be turned in to the school nurse.  Students entering grades: K, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 12th WILL have forms to be completed or reviewed.  All other students need to visit this area ONLY if your child has a health concern, will be taking a prescription or over the counter medication at school, has asthma, has a special diet for medical reasons, a food allergy or has seizures. 
  2. The ONLY forms that NEED to be printed and brought to school staff is  the FREE/REDUCED lunch application. This form can be found on the Colo – NESCO homepage and hovering over the district tab and scrolling down and clicking on Nutrition Services. Click  on Free & Reduced Application 19-20. This form only needs to be completed IF you feel you may qualify for free or reduced school meal prices due to low household income. 
  3. Once you have finished this process your registration is complete.  All information submitted on the forms will be submitted to the office immediately.  If you have any questions regarding this process, we will be in the Zearing building on Monday, August 5th,  2019 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm and computers will be available and staff will be available to answer questions, take health forms,  Free/reduced applications and take payment of cash or check.
